Our story

From Modest Origins to Worldwide Acclaim

Founded in 2016, Reftinskaya Poultry Factory set out to transform poultry production. What began as a small facility in Cidade Gaúcha quickly grew, fueled by a commitment to quality and innovation. The launch of our Soledade facility in Rio Grande do Sul in 2019 was a major milestone, boosting our processing capacity and strengthening our global presence. Today, after years of dedication and strategic expansion, Megayurma  is a trusted leader in poultry production, proudly exporting to over 50 countries.

1975

The regional authorities, recognizing the need for increased food production, decided to construct the Reftinskaya Poultry Farm near Reftinskaya GRES.

1975

In October, the Uralgiproselkhozstroy Institute developed and finalized the project for the poultry farm, laying the groundwork for its construction.

1980

The construction of Reftinskaya poultry farm project’s first industrial plant, the dairy one, is initiated.

1981

In May, the first batch of chicks hatched, representing a significant milestone in the poultry farm's history. This moment marked the initiation of operations.

1981

In December, the first stage was officially commissioned, allowing for an annual production capacity of one million broilers, setting the foundation for future growth.

1986

As part of its commitment to the community, the poultry farm completed residential buildings for workers and opened Secondary School No. 6, enhancing local infrastructure.

1990

To combat cash flow issues exacerbated by wage arrears, the farm created a network of branded stores, allowing direct sales to consumers and improving revenue. This initiative was crucial for maintaining payroll and operational continuity.

1995

Under Toporkov's leadership, the focus shifted towards modernization and the adoption of new technologies, leading to a threefold increase in production capacity over ten years.

2006

The establishment of a concrete plant represented a significant investment in infrastructure, allowing the farm to increase its production capabilities and support local construction projects.

2008

The Asbest Livestock Complex was transferred to the management of the Reftinskaya Poultry Farm, leading to immediate reconstruction and upgrades, including modernizing utilities and expanding product offerings.

2015

By 2015, the farm produced an impressive 70,399.3 tons of high-quality broiler poultry meat, affirming its status as a leading poultry producer in the region.

2016

The farm achieved an even greater milestone with a total production of 70,503 tons of poultry meat in live weight, reflecting the ongoing enhancements in production efficiency.

Present Day

Today, the Reftinskaya Poultry Farm is acknowledged as a strategically important enterprise for food security in Sverdlovsk region, underscoring its role in ensuring reliable food supplies for the local community.
